A name I got from my first business coach, but which I, Manon, can relate to 100%.
It's not for nothing that I'm called that. It includes everything I am and what I do. I have a passion for green. As broad as that word is. It can hardly go wrong. I love nature, I have a passion for sustainability and I have a background as an Applied Biologist.
I have carried my passion for green and sustainability with me all my life.
Growing up in the countryside, where the forest was my playground, I was already interested in trees, water and animals. A seed full of love was planted and 18 years later a choice of study "Applied Biology" was a logical consequence.
Only at a later stage, while following a specialization in Entrepreneurship, did that passion for nature come into contact with my passion for design and travel. The company Verbuiten Design, with a focus on the development of sustainable (recreational) real estate, was born.
Verbuiten Design stands for the Connection with Outside and that is reflected in everything. When developing complete plots of land, repurposing agricultural real estate or upgrading a holiday park, I take the current natural environment as a guideline.
If we start working on a unique holiday home, I will ensure that it is built entirely from natural, sustainable materials and I design in such a way that the user is invited to enjoy the environment. With this I bring 'outside' in, but I also invite you to step out of the comfort of this bubble and explore.
When developing a Tiny House design, or when advising on setting up a Tiny House community, both of the above topics come up. Firstly, I look at the bigger picture - the location - and the integration of the wishes and requirements. Then I zoom in on the personal wishes of the future resident to create a home within the framework of the environment, and not just a house.
