The traditional shape of a farm with a saddle roof has been given a new look, that was the wish of this customer.
Developing new holiday homes on a former pig farm. That was the wish behind this design. A number of things were central to this. The target group would be couples who wanted to recreate in the area in the form of cycling or walking, the accommodations had to be sustainable and a clear link had to be made with the former agricultural destination.
By retaining the shape, including saddle roof, reference is made to the former stables. In this design, however, a slightly asymmetrical shape has been chosen and an overhang as a seating area, so that when placed correctly, the sun is kept out in the summer and the accommodation does not become too hot. By using wooden cladding, the whole fits nicely into the natural environment, which is enriched with trees. In addition, the layout is efficient and cozy, in order to emphasize the environment and to encourage you to enjoy this environment.
